16th August 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 12-18 Surf / Sea State: 2ft then 1ft Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived to find Al rigged up and with 18 knots and 2ft surf rigged the 5.8 and wave board. Once on the water there just wasn't enough to get going so I just chugged about for a while in the surf. Came in when Al did but I rigged my 6.9m and Eagle 114 and tried again but the wind had really dropped off to about 12 knots so nothing doing. The waves also eased off with the wind. Anyway enjoyed the beach and sunshine for the afternoon with Jules. Late afternoon (4.30 - 6pm) the wind filled in to maybe 15-18 knots again with 1 ft small surf, so I went back out and at first could just get going then started flying so headed out to the estuary lagoon and back a few times which was really good fun. Nice day on the beach and got going in the end. |
